After Barcelona, I went to ITALY! I spent six days with friends enjoying pasta, pizza (every kind, every day), wine, and gelato. I spent half the time in Florence and the other half in Venice. Highlights: all-day tour of Tuscany, karaoke at Space, getting left at Space, the David (amazing butt), Il Duomo, dinner at Il Gato e La Volpe, amazing lunch and wine "tasting" at an organic farm in Tuscany, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, World Champion gelato in San Gimignano, Piazza Michaelangelo, PLUS Florence, train rides without seats (but with boxed wine), the Venice Grand Canal, butterflies on the wall, jam sessions with borrowed guitars, gondola rides, Piazza San Marco, getting lost in the tiny streets of Venice, the "nightlife," the soccer mullet and eating amazing food every single day. Conclusion: Italy is wonderful.

SNAPSHOTS: Barcelona
For the first few days of Spring Break #1, Abby and I went to Barcelona! Highlights: Hostel in los Suburbios, Sagrada Familia, the Metro, Parc Güell, Las Ramblas, Montserrat, Fuente Mágica, Casa Batlló, Casa Mila (La Pedrera), tapas at Txapela, and Rambla de Mar. Conclusion: Barcelona is a beautiful, beautiful city. And I love it.
SNAPSHOTS: Madrid, Part II
A spontaneous 36-hour trip to Madrid with Rozina turned into an amazing weekend with old and new friends. Highlights: the Prado, the Reina Sofia, the Thyssen-Bornemisza, Kapital, Barbarum, Independance, buying alcohol after 10pm, eating "shawarma," seeing Shir and Paige, Rozina losing her wallet (and getting it back), losing my voice, not sleeping in our hostel, bocadillos, making scrambled eggs, trying to start a fight with Renfe (with no voice), and 6-hour bus rides. Conclusion: I love Madrid.
